In God’s Will
God’s will is His plans and thoughts for us. It’s the summary of how He wants us to live, to be and what He wants for us. As humans, we may have our plans and thoughts. We may have how we want things to go and be. But they can never be compared with what God has for us. The will of God is the best for His children. It’s better and more beautiful than our own will and ways, however smart we think we are.
Sometimes people portray God’s will as negative. It has often been misinterpreted. When we hear, “Let the will of God be”, it always quietly rings in us as something negative. How could we possibly think that God’s will is something bad? That is wrong and very unfortunate to believe. God’s will is never negative. It is the best for us; greater and above what we can imagine. A loving Father like God will always want the best for His children. In Jeremiah 29:11 He says His thoughts and plans for us are good and not evil, to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us hope and a future. Be rest assured that God wants the best for you. The best is His will for you.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever. 1 John 2:17
The will of God comes with blessings and peace of mind. God’s will involves obedience and subsequent blessings that follow. When we follow God in obedience we are blessed. Obedience to Him in the way we live and in our general lifestyle is what God’s will is about. That’s what God requires from all His children. He wants us to live in the centre of His will which is in complete obedience to Him. The Scripture which is God’s Word is the blueprint of God’s will. That’s what decides and dictates how Christians should live on earth. The world and the lust in it that fade and pass away don’t decide how we live or who we are. God does through His Word.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2
The systems and principles of this world are anti-God. They should never have any hold or influence on you if you are born of God. Though we live in the world, we are not of this world. We are born of God, not of the world. So we live according to the will of whom we are born of, which is His Word. Through the Word of God, your mind is renewed. In His Word, you understand and know what is good and what is not, what is acceptable and what is not acceptable, and what God’s will is.
Follow God’s Word and instructions. Obey Him in all things. When we are living in the centre of His will, It means we are of Him and are part of His family. Then His blessings will overflow in our lives. He that follows the will of God, without fear of man or anything abides forever and is blessed for it. We don’t fear man and disobey God. Rather we reference God and obey Him. He has all the power, not man. And He shows His strength and power in the lives of those that regard Him. Examine yourself. How do you live? Is your life a reflection of God and His will which is His Word? Do you compromise which is displeasing to the Lord?
God doesn’t force His will on us, though He has the power to do so if He wants. Yet, He wouldn’t. He prefers us to follow Him on our own. He gave us the power to decide what we want and which way we want to go. Take the right decision and follow the will of God. Obey His Word which is His will. Daily live a pleasing life to God. You will be blessed now and in the everlasting. Surrender to God and to His ways. In all things, live in the centre of His will. Living in His will means choosing Him above all. Choose God above all.
Here’s what God says about you and His will.
That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 1 Peter 4:2
For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother. Mark 3:35
Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart. Ephesians 6:6
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Psalm 143:10
Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7:21
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10
The best life is lived in God's will. That's the blessed life.
