Word Of The Week: Divine Security- Isaiah 54:17
Meditation/Action
Everyone needs security. The poor as well as the rich with all their security gadgets and paraphernalia need divine security. Real security is in God, not in earthly gadgets that fail and disappoint. We live in a world of chaos, crises and confusion orchestrated by the devil himself. Only God can secure and protect in this world of wickedness and so much evil. We need His protection from the fiery darts of the enemy and the instruments he uses.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Isaiah 54:17
God in Isaiah 54:17 gives us assurance of His protection. He will protect us from every weapon and wickedness and from every tongue that may want to rise against us. They will all fail because they are not of the Lord. Psalm 91 and many other Scripture passages join to emphasize God’s protection for His own. However rough it is; though a thousand or ten thousand may fall at our sides, it will not come near us or our dwelling place. We have this guaranteed protection and security in God.
Rise each morning in prayer, entrusting you and your loved ones to God. Believe His promise of protection and live the day in this confidence. No harm shall come near you or yours. That’s the promise of the God whose promises never fail. Don’t seek protection or security from any other source other than Him. Only God protects and keeps. He alone secures. Commit all into His Hands and His banner of protection will be over all.
