Word Of The Week: Give Thanks- 1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Mediatation/Action
Give thanks at all times. In good times and in bad times, give thanks. Thanksgiving is a lifestyle. It’s an attitude the Lord wants us to have at all times. It doesn’t depend on circumstances. It’s not a product of how we feel. It’s not something we do when things turn out the way we want. It’s what God wants from us, however things go.
Thanking and praising God when things aren’t okay is telling Him you have confidence in Him. You are telling God you have faith in Him for all circumstances of your life. You make Him know you trust Him and believe in what He’s doing in your life. He has supremacy over all things including the bad times. When you don’t understand what’s going on, God understands and He is the one in control. He that created a beautiful universe from void and darkness still works out great things from impossible situations and chaos.
Things turn around when we praise. The unfavourable become favourable when people praise God in the midst of it. Solutions and answers are received when we worship God instead of murmuring and complaining. God is pleased when we choose to praise Him in difficult times instead of grudging. Issues and problems of life are what God uses to show His greatness. He creates our blessings from them, turning them around for our good.
Start a lifestyle of praise, thanksgiving and worship. Make it a habit at all times. As you worship and praise Him, the Lord will glorify Himself in your situation and problem. Your testimonies will flow. The Scripture says all things work for your good when you know the Lord, so worship and praise Him because everything is in your favour. They are working together for you. Give thanks.
