Word Of The Week: God’s Everlasting Love- Jeremiah 31:3
The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3
Meditation/Action
God’s love for us is everlasting. It’s unconditional. It doesn’t depend on what we have done, or on what we are doing, or on what we will do. God’s love only depends on what Jesus did. Jesus gave His life to secure this love for us. The unconditional and everlasting love of the Father is expressed in Him and through Him, God draws us to Himself.
Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. See this Scripture and be reminded of the depth of God’s love.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39
Nothing can come between us and God’s love for us. It is a bond that cannot be broken easily. When things get tough and life troubles come your way, remember that nothing can separate you from your Father’s love which is found in Jesus Christ. Hold unto this assurance of love and know that your Father will see you through. Love will not let Him forget you. He is a loving Father. We may not be able to understand the whole depth of His great love for us. But one thing we know is that this great love will carry us through. The wonder is why such a great God will love a people so low like us.
