Word Of The Week: He Is Risen- Matthew 28:5-6
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matthew 28:5-6
Meditation/Action
In the morning of the resurrection, the women went to the tomb to seek Jesus. They saw an empty grave and an angel at the graveside. The angel told them that the Saviour has risen. He was no longer in the grave, just as He foretold His disciples that He would rise again on the third day. He’s risen as He said He would. And by His resurrection we receive salvation, life and the blessings of the Lord.
There’s something remarkable about what the angel told the women at the tomb. He said, “Fear not ye… for he is risen”. Fear not because Jesus has risen from the grave. Don’t be afraid because He has risen from death. Because of His resurrection, let go of every yoke of fear, every worry, anxiety and doubt. He’s risen over all of your life issues and problems. He’s risen over whatever held you down and bound. He’s risen over all of your sins, weaknesses, errors and failures. He’s risen over every obstacle on your way. He’s risen and in His rising, victory was given to you. You rose in victory with Him, so fear not.
The Word of the Lord through His angel says, “Fear not”. Jesus has won the victory. That’s the message of His resurrection. He has won for you. Fear not, for He is risen and has won the victory for you. He didn’t die for Himself. He didn’t fight principalities and powers of darkness for Himself. He entered this warfare for you and on your behalf. He went down to conquer all powers and rise again for you. At His resurrection, He said fear not because every power has been conquered. You have been redeemed from death, sin and from every evil.
