Word Of The Week: Pray- 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Meditation/Action
Prayer is what we all need. If Jesus needed it, much more do we need it. Prayer is communicating with God. It’s a two-way drive; talking to God and listening to Him. Positive communication is not one-sided. God loves to hear us as much as He wants us to hear Him.
Nothing can take the place of prayer. Nothing can substitute for it. God wants us to pray at all times; both in the good times and in the bad times. Prayer is not just for bad times. It’s for all times. Sadly, many people resort to prayer only when they are in difficulties.
Pray without ceasing. Don’t stop praying. That’s what 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says. Pray every time and everywhere. Morning, day and night, pray. While in your regular daily routine, be prayerful. You don’t only pray when you’re shut up in a room and in a kneeling position. You can be praying in your heart while you’re working. Sincerity is what the Lord desires and looks out for.
Make prayer a habit. Let it be a lifestyle. A lot of problems and issues would be averted if only we make prayer a way of life. If you make out time to pray, God would make out time to hear your prayers. If you will always pray, God will always hear you. Your personal prayer life is important. Make it a priority. God loves to hear you at all times, not only in your time of need. That’s how you develop a great relationship with Him. A child won’t be bonded with a Father he doesn’t communicate with. So pray like everything depends on it, because everything actually depends on it.
