Word Of The Week: The Bond Of Love- Colossians 3:14
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Colossians 3:14
Meditation/Action
God is love. He gave the world the greatest gift of love- His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. He gave His all without reservations. He is our perfect example in love. His love for us is perfect and unconditional. We are weak, yet He loves us as if we are perfect. His love bears and sustains us in our imperfections without counting. He sees the best in us, even when we don’t see anything good in ourselves.
The world is void of love and full of selfishness. People care less of other people. The principle of the world is to think of yourself only. That isn’t the case with the children of the God who is love. We love like God our Father. He commands us to love others as we love ourselves. If God is in us, it is seen in the way we treat and love other people. The love we show to others is the beauty of God in us.
Live a life of love. Let others see God in you through His love that flows from you. Be kind to people. Help the needy. Give a helping hand. Love the wounded and the hurting. Encourage the brokenhearted and provide to those that lack as much as you can. Relieve the burdened. A simple smile can go a long way in bringing solace to someone that is hurting. Love like your Father loves. Don’t let a single day pass without radiating the love of God. Let others see God in you. We draw them closer to God by the love we show than the words we say. “… put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Colossians 3:14
