Word Of The Week: The Gift Of Life
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
Meditation/Action
We needed a Saviour; a Saviour to save us from our sins and the consequences of them. God gave us the Saviour. His name is Jesus Christ. He came to save us from the enemy of our souls. He came to redeem and restore us to the Almighty Father. The Saviour died on our behalf, so that we would no longer die. He paid the penalty of our sins and saved us from the grip of hell. Sin and death would no longer have dominion over us and there is no more barrier between us and God. We have been reconciled to Him and our fellowship with Him renewed because of what the Messiah did.
Jesus Christ is the free gift of God to you. What have you done with this gift? He is the gift of life from the Father to the whole of mankind. He is the most beautiful gift that you would ever receive. He is your Messiah and your Saviour. He is God’s only begotten son, yet He gave Him freely without reservations. It is your choice to receive Him or reject Him. The Lord would prefer that you receive Him.
Let Jesus in. Receive Him. Let Him save you from sin and the wages of it which is death. Be reconciled to the Father through Him. Escape the judgement to come through Jesus Christ that loves you and gave His life in exchange for yours.
The wages of sin is death. The gift of God is eternal life found only in Jesus. The Scripture says in John 3:16, ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life’.
