Word Of The Week: The Resurrection And The Life- John 11:25-26
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. John 11:25-26
Meditation/Action
When Jesus told Martha that He is the resurrection and the life, He knew He was going to prove it. He would prove it not just by raising Lazarus from the dead, but also through His own resurrection. When He raised the widow of Nain’s son, He was emphasizing who He is- ‘The Resurrection and The Life’. He raised Jairus’ daughter from the dead because of who He is...
Jesus is risen! Death could not hold Him down. Hell could not stop Him. He laid down His life of His own will. He did it so that we would no longer die. He did it so that we would no longer be held captive by sin and by the enemy. He did it so that we would escape the judgement to come and eternal separation from God. He did it so that we will spend eternity with Him after life here.
What have you done with what Jesus did for you? Have you believed? Have you accepted this great sacrifice He made on your behalf? For three days He was in the grave. On the third day He rose. He did it all for you. Only believe! There is a penalty to pay if we toy with this great sacrifice. There is a punishment for neglecting the finished works of grace done by Jesus Christ on the cross and for rejecting the salvation He offers. He did it all for you. Only believe!
