Word Of The Week: What Do You See? Mark 8:23-25
And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. Mark 8:23-25
Meditation/Action
Jesus touched a blind man for his healing. He asked the man if he could see and he said he saw men as trees. Jesus is a perfect healer. This man could have received his sight at just one touch, because Jesus was a Man that only by touching His garment, people were healed.
So what do you see? Do you see men as trees instead of who they really are? Do you see only the negative when the Lord has touched you to receive His blessings? What you see is very important because it determines what you’ll have. Whatever situation you are in, God wants you to see only the good and beautiful. What you see is what you’ll receive. In the mist of scarcity, He wants you to see abundance. In the storm, see His calm. When the medical report says you have no cure, see God’s healing hand upon you. When the enemy says you can’t succeed, see yourself at the top. Instead of failure, see success. See that promotion and you’ll have it.
Jesus made the blind man look up before he could receive a perfect healing. You need to look up to the Lord in faith before you can receive from Him. Don’t look to your storms and problems. Look to the Lord and by faith see your breakthrough and you’ll have it. Look up to the Lord. Let your faith control your vision and your expectations will never be cut off.
